We normally don't do many snacks with Sadie, basically because she sleeps so much! She sleeps in late & eats a late breakfast so we go straight from breakfast to lunch. And same thing in the afternoon. She sleeps all afternoon & by the time she wakes up it's too late to do a snack because it's almost time to eat dinner. Except for yesterday. They ate lunch at 11:00 at their play date, which threw the rest of our day off. It kind of worked good because Bryan had a meeting last night & didn't have time for our normal dinner at 6:00, so instead I made dinner at 5:00. Honestly, I don't know how people eat this early because by 9:00 my stomach was growling & I was ready to eat again!
Luckily I gave Sadie a snack before she went to bed. I didn't want her to wake up hungry! I realized at our play date yesterday how well her table manners were, so I thought I would surprise her by getting out her toddler table:
This table & chair set belonged to my grandmother when she was a little girl. She wanted to pass it along to Sadie because at the time she was the only great-grand daughter. My Mom had it painted & gave it to Sadie for her birthday. It is so adorable & I have been wanting to get it out for months, but the few times I tried getting it out, I knew Sadie wasn't ready for it. She would push around the table & throw the chairs :( Last night, she was so excited that she pulled the chair out & sat right down. I was even more impressed when I gave her grapes in a bowl. She carefully picked out one at a time & did not make a mess or throw anything. She really is growing up!
What's even funnier is when I zoom out on this picture:
I think Daisy may like this table even more than the rest of us - it puts her that much closer to the food! And Sadie has learned how to be sneaky & share :)
