Bryan & I have always loved food. In fact a good portion of our budget is spent on food - whether that be at the grocery store or out to eat. Neither of us have ever dieted, although we do try to eat responsibly & watch our portions. But most of the time we enjoy what we eat :) Apparently Sadie is learning to follow in on footsteps! I think she would eat all day long if I let her. And she's not too terribly picky. I used to have the hardest time with fruits but she has really learned to like a few of them, especially bananas & grapes.
I have a several miscellaneous pictures that I haven't posted that I was going to throw up in a random recap, but then I noticed they had a common theme - food!
Last weekend we ran up to Costco to run an errand. It just happened to be around lunchtime on a Saturday & there were free samples everywhere. Sadie couldn't have been any happier!
Obviously we still cut up her food, but she really prefers to be given the whole item - just like us. For example, she wants the whole cheese stick, not just chunks of cheese. She wants the whole banana, not it cut up into smaller bites. So, we finally decided to give her the whole chip when we go to Mexican restaurants. She doesn't want to eat like a bird anymore with chip crumbs on the table!
We have also learned our lesson about giving her bread at the table before our meal comes. She went on a double date with Jordan recently to Babe's & she ate a biscuit while we were eating our salads & she threw a fit because she only wanted to eat biscuits the rest of the meal & would not eat her meat & veggies! We quickly learned that she only gets bread at the end of the meal if she eats everything else :) I know - we are the mean parents!
Isn't it ridiculous that kids know how to operate a cell phone at this age? I still try hard not to give her mine, but Bryan has trained her pretty well.
I guess I should be grateful she is a good eater & doesn't let her food go to waste since I hear that complaint a lot from other moms. Now if we can only get her digestive system to process regular dairy milk.......
