Mommy & Sadie Play Date

Normally Sadie & I are always running off to meet friends at our happenings around town, but today we had a play date for just the 2 of us. Well, not really. I took her to a free class at Gymboree so there were probably 10 other kids running around with their moms also, but we didn't meet any of her friends there.

I took her here last year when she was around 6 months old, but she definitely had more fun this time! She is kind of in the in-between stage where she is too advanced for the younger group, but not quite active enough for the older group. Today's class was for babies 16-22 months old & she is only 15 1/2 months, but since she is pretty active & walking good, they recommended this class. It was obvious the other kids were older & had been there a time or two because they were conquering everything! Sadie was a little more reserved but she tried to keep up. I got a lot of action shots today but you will notice that she isn't smiling in any of them. She was really concentrating & trying to watch everything. I wouldn't say she was overwhelmed or overstimulated, just trying to figure it all out. We are going back in 2 weeks & I hope she will feel more comfortable next time!

She went straight to the rocking horses first! I think she enjoyed them because she has one at home & she knew what to do.

It's hard to tell, but in this picture she is chasing the bubbles on top of the parachute. She loved the bubbles but the parachute scared her when she thought she was under there by herself!

This was her favorite activity of the day - she kept going back to it & would climb the stairs & slide down. I don't know if you can notice in some of the shots, but she still has a hard time because she is short. She tries really hard to climb on things but her legs won't quite reach that far!

  1. She has really taken to rocking and slides. She sure has a mischievious look sometimes. She is so cute with her headband and smiles. Definately a go getter. Love Ya Sadie Doc
