We go out to eat with Sadie quite a bit, but you know how it goes with a 1 year old. No matter how hard you try, you never know how they are going to act. For the most part, she does really well. I like to think it's because she has a lot of practice :) We definitely have to give her something to eat while we wait because she gets really anxious. We had been giving her snacks to pass the time, but I quickly realized that she would eat too many snacks & then not eat her dinner. So, we decided to do what all of the other families do & order her kids meal early. I was really hesitant to do this because she has been eating off of our plates for free & I am not quite ready to pay for the kids price. But I will admit, her food got there quickly, she ate the entire plate & she was much happier throughout the rest of our meal. Looks like I will have to bite the bullet & start buying her own meals more often!
Speaking of eating out, while we were in Florida, Bryan had to work one evening so Sadie & I went out on a dinner date just the 2 of us. I was really craving a good meal after traveling & staying in a hotel, so I took her to this small, intimate Italian restaurant. Low & behold, she was on her best behavior!
Doesn't she look so grown up in this picture? She loves books so she thought the wine menu was just for her.....
We also had friends over last week for a pizza. I let Sadie sit at the kid table while I sat with the adults in the dining room:
She thought it was so funny - she might have done more laughing & playing with them & then we they left she was all up in my plate trying to steal my food! I believe we had 11 kids over that night & 9 of them were girls. I hadn't realized that until I stopped & looked at this picture!
