Sadie's First Valentine Party

I guess our little girl has learned from her parents, because she is already hosting soirees at our house! That's right - she had her first Valentine party yesterday with all her friends! First we had to dress up for the occasion. She wore her birthday tutu because it had red & pink on it and she wore her Valentine jewelry that her Mimi & Doc gave her. I also found a Valentine shirt so I would fit it with the theme for the day.....

Next we had to kick Dad out of the house. He can't work from home when we are having 12 kids come over along with their Mommies!

Of course we had to set up our welcome table with the balloon that Sadie picked out at the store. That was a fun ride home in the car! We also had to display our Valentine craft that everyone would make at the party:

I'm really not that crafty but I was determined to do something special.

One by one (or two by two in both of of the twins' case) her friends started showing up.

The kids had a blast eating, playing, toddling around - they were so cute! As you can see, the turtle was a big hit. Too bad Sadie is too short to enjoy the turtle like her friends :)

Sadie was quite attached to Mrs. Nat while she was here and someone might have been a little jealous!

We couldn't end the party without taking the obvious group shot. However, it's not easy to take these anymore since all of our children are mobile!

We decided to improvise & take the group shot with the Moms instead:

Unfortunately, her party had to end around lunchtime because who wants to nap at a party? But Sadie was a gracious host & walked everyone to the door & waved them goodbye:

And then she decided to sit on the front porch for a while hoping they would come back.

I have to admit that I think her first party was a success & I am sure there will be many more in the future.
