Today was a big day. Sadie & I got up early this morning & we officially got her enrolled at a mother's day out program at a local church here in Frisco. She will be 18 months old in the fall so Bryan & I figure it will be time for her to go. They only go for a half day twice a week, but I think she will enjoy playing with other kids & I think it will be good for her to be around other adults besides me. And it will be good for me to have a break from her. Who knows, maybe I can start doing a little more real estate part time?
I will admit that I was a little nervous about getting her registered. I had no idea that you had to do it so early! Luckily I started doing my research early & found out that most schools do early registration for the fall in January/February. Registration opened at 9:00 this morning & since Bryan was out of town, I had to take Sadie with me. Of course it was raining this morning & we had to bring breakfast to our MOPS group, so we didn't get out the door as early as I wanted, but we were in line at the church at 9:05. Good thing I didn't get there any later, because there were 38 open spots for the 1 year old class & by the time it was our turn to register, there were only 3 spots available!
I tried to get a picture of Sadie running around & playing at the school this morning, but she is so busy, that all of my pictures turn out blurry these days :( I did however get a snapshot of the 2 of us with her registration packet:
I sent it to her Dad to let him know that we got in. He politely responded that Mommy looked happier about school than Sadie did....... Hmmm, I guess he may be right about that!
