Since we have been back in town consistently since the new year started, we have enjoyed our Sunday morning routine. We have been going to class on Sunday mornings followed by church. Sadie is officially in the one year old class with other kids her age. She used to be in the nursery, but she got promoted since she is older than 12 months. Then they take her straight from class back to nursery while we are in church. It's kind of a long morning for her because she plays the whole time & doesn't get a morning nap, but she loves it. It's so cute seeing her play with kids her age!
Unfortunately, she has been teething the last couple of weeks so 2weeks in a row we got paged during church to come pick her up. That's never a good sign when your daughter is crying so much that she gets kicked out of nursery! One week she was so upset we actually had to leave church & head home because we couldn't calm her down. Luckily, the other time we brought into service with us & she remained calm. Thankfully yesterday she survived both class & church! Bryan & I appreciate it because we get some time to ourselves & I think it's good for her to be around other adults besides us. Since she was in a good mood, we went to lunch afterwards with The Goff Family.
Carter is obviously older but his twin sisters are just a few months older than Sadie. You have probably seen them on our blog before, but I have to point out a special story behind them. Their Mom, Emily & I were friends growing up. We went to different schools & churches, but our youth groups went to camp together. We hung out a lot in the summer & I have pictures of us from back in the day! We lost contact for a while when we went off to college, but when we graduated, we both moved to Dallas & met up again at church. We also got married 1 week apart & then had our girls a few months apart. I cherish her as a special friend & I am excited to see our girls grow up in the church together!
Love you Shaye! I am so glad we reconnected when we moved to Dallas and I know our girls will be sweet friends for years to come! Plus, Matt and I get to hang out with you and Bryan which is always fun. :)
