Bryan had the day off on Monday so he wanted to do something special with Sadie. It's still pretty cold outside, so we had to find something indoors to do. He decided to take Sadie to
since we have one here locally & we have never been there. Unfortunately, all of the other families in town decided to go there also since the kids were also out of school.
We decided to play games & do the rides first, which was probably a good idea. I have to admit, the all you can eat pizza buffet was not that enticing :( And we love pizza! Sadie didn't know any difference & she ate everything we gave her.
She was a little small for the games, but we tried to do a few things with her. She was mostly mesmerized by all of the flashing lights & sounds! First her Dad taught her how to shoot the teeth out of a donkey:
And he also taught her how to shoot hoops:
One of our favorite games is skee ball & this game was a little easier for her since the balls are smaller:
Of course she was more impressed with the ticket machines since they light up:
We also rode the carousel:
You can't tell by the picture, but she loved the carousel. She was smiling & waving to everyone. Honestly, there wasn't a whole lot of smiling the whole time we were there I think because she was so stimulated by all the people, lights & sounds.
Finally, we rode the pirate ship:
Looking back, this might have been much for her. They kept telling us that 1 year olds do it all the time, but take a look at the expression on her face:
She never cried but I could almost see the look of confusion & fear in her eyes, poor thing! I tried to video it, but please be careful - there is a lot of screaming & shaky movements!
Overall, we had a fun day together, but I think we will wait & take her back when she is older.
