Our final round of Christmas took place on Christmas Day & Mimi & Doc got here just in time - the kids woke up on that morning to find their Santa bags & stockings full of presents!
You can see Sadie's gifts on the end - she got a new "big girl"car seat & a cradle for her bedroom. After we saw everything Santa gave us, we took a break & had breakfast. Daniel made us home made cinnamon rolls the night before & they looked gorgeous that morning - almost too pretty to eat! And we visited before we started family presents.
Sadie got her first baby doll to go with her cradle. She actually got a Bitty Baby from American Girl. I couldn't help but buy her one when we were in NY!
She was so sweet to her baby. She would pick it up & kiss it but my heart melted when she said the word baby! It was more like baba, but that is her 3rd word besides Mama & Dada!
She really loved her car seat. She crawled over there all day & would sit in it:
She also enjoyed her stocking. She quickly learned how to pull everything out of it!
Kason hit the jackpot with tools. He asked Santa for a chainsaw & a drill so he could work on some projects around the house.
Sadie gave her cousins some new hooded bath towels:
And some Texas Tech gear for football season:
Even Natalie got something to help show her team spirit!
I took so many pictures of everyone & their gifts, so here is a sampling of all the chaos:
As you can tell, we had a little helper who helped everyone with their gifts! I can honestly say that we got all more than we needed & are blessed beyond measure. Do you think that's evidenced by the after shot of Christmas morning?
Sweet Zoe & Max took turns playing & sleeping during the chaos:
After we survived our long Christmas morning, most of the boys snuck a nap while the women got busy cooking in the kitchen. We ended the day with Christmas dinner:
It was one of many delicious meals we had while all together!
Bryan & I were thankful we got to host everyone for Christmas this year & we enjoyed our time spent with family. Technically this was Sadie's 2nd Christmas, but she was only 2 weeks old last year, so this year was much more fun! I can only imagine how much more fun it will be the older she gets!
