Tis the Season to Give.....

Since I am a stay at home Mom, I try my best to stay busy & keep Sadie entertained. While we have a great time with play groups, classes & outings with friends, I have always said that I want to volunteer & give back to the community as well. Although, it's a little hard to volunteer with a baby by your side all the time! I am involved in 2 wonderful groups that allow me the opportunity to serve & today we kicked off the holiday season in giving style!

Have you ever heard of:

This is where you take a shoe box & fill it with toiletries, candy, toys, etc. & the boxes are sent to kids all around the world. Our MOPS group donated boxes along with the First Baptist Church & together we had 625 boxes!

I met a few women at the church today to double check the boxes & load them up. We dropped them off at another church in Frisco who collects boxes from several organizations.

Can you believe we helped deliver this many boxes?

From here, they are packed into shipping boxes & are ready for a semi truck to pick them up!

I had a fun time getting to work with the other ladies & to top it off, our MOPS group provided free childcare while we worked! Sadie must have had a good time because when I went to pick her up, she was tuckered out!

I am thankful for the MOPS organization who provide childcare & organize our community outreach activities. I enjoy meeting new women while serving the community & I hope to set a positive example for my daughter. As she gets older, I hope she can help me serve!
