San Francisco, Part 2

Day 2 of our adventure in San Fran took us on a drive to Muir Woods, which is a national forest about an hour outside of the city. We spent a couple hours hiking in the redwood trees. We had perfect weather this day - not too hot & not too cold. Beautiful scenery!

As you can see, the trees were huge! Some were really tall & others had really big trunks. Some we could even fit inside -

Supposedly we took the Panoramic/Ocean View Trail, which was the hardest & the steepest. It took us about 3 hours total but I was a little disappointed because we never saw the ocean. But we did make it to the top:

Overall we had a great afternoon & I would also recommend the park to anyone who likes nature.

That night, we met some friends for dinner:

Bryan has traveled to San Fran a lot for business throughout the years & this was one of his favorite restaurants. Actually the couple we met for dinner, she used to be his boss :) Even though they don't work together anymore, they still keep in touch. I have heard about her often, so I was glad to finally meet her & her husband.

Before we left town, we did do a traditional tourist stop:

Lombard Street - the most crooked street in the world! We drove down it & then stopped to take pictures. Amazing how people are so obsessed by this one little road......

That's it for San Fran. We spent the rest of the trip in Napa Valley, so I will post pictures from that part tomorrow.
