Sadie & I met Jamie, Tatum & Byron at the park today for a picnic. You would think we would be enjoying the nice fall weather since it is almost the end of September, instead it was in the 90's outside. Even so, we had a good time! Sadie loves being outside & when we put down a blanket, she was pretty content just sitting there.
She does like to play with the grass (sometimes she tries to eat it....) but I guess she doesn't like to crawl on it. The Hill twins were quite opposite - they were all over the place! The grass didn't slow them down one bit & poor Jamie was chasing them everywhere. I tried to get pictures of them, but they were too busy. I did get once shot with Tatum playing with Sadie.....
Being outside & playing with the twins must have really worn her out, because the park is only 5 minutes away from our house, but Sadie was conked out by the time we got home:
I had to document this glorious moment, because this hardly ever happens! I have always bragged about Sadie being a good sleeper, because she is, but she is a LIGHT sleeper. She hardly ever falls asleep in public or in the car anymore & if she does fall asleep in the car, she wakes up the minute we pull into the garage or put the car into park. She will never be one of those children that you can transport from the car to her bedroom while she is sleeping. And speaking of bedroom, I learned a long time ago not even to set foot in her room while she is sleeping, because she will wake up every time. Oh-well, I guess I don't mind having a light sleeper as long as she sleeps 12-13 hours every night & 3 hours every afternoon!
