For the last several years, the ACM Awards have been hosted in Frisco, but we had never been before, until this year! We had the opportunity to go & I was excited! I had never been to an awards show before, but it was fun getting dressed up, seeing all of the celebrities & hearing them perform. I had heard the dress was all over the place - from super country, lots of boots to full on sequins & glamour. I went somewhere in between with a black romper, fun heels & blingy western earrings:
The people watching was amazing & if we go again, next time I will up my glamour game!
We had dinner reservations before & it was super crowded so by the time we walked over to the Ford Center & got inside, we didn't get any pictures outside, but we took a few once we finally got to our seats:
We sat just left of the stage on the 7th row & it happened to be the side where all of the celebrities were coming on & off the stage, so they all walked right in front of us the entire time! I took so many pictures & I will spare you the random shots but just a few of the stars we saw were Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, Lional Richie, Shaboozey, Jelly Roll, even the Backstreet Boys! They closed out the show with Rascal Flatts. One of my favorite moments was when they honored Alan Jackson & when I saw Nicole Kidman & Jerry Jones hugging each other:
I was pleasantly surprised that there were more performances than I expected & we saw a lot of friends there since it was basically in our backyard. Afterwards we went to an after party & it was an even later night:
It was such a fun night & I am glad we had the opportunity to go:
