Life Lately - April

Spring has sprung & summer is upon us! I can hardly believe the girls only have a few weeks of school left. A lot of their activities are starting to wind down, including volleyball. Volleyball's tournament season runs January - April, mostly so Sophie played in her last 2 tournaments in April. They did amazing for their first year on a club team paying competitively:

And it looks like this team will stay together next year! They are going to play summer & fall ball just to get them ready for tournament season next year:

Sadie has been with the Renegades for the past 6 years with the same coach & unfortunately it is time for her to move on. It was not an easy decision, but we have talked about it all year & it is definitely time. She officially started try outs with other teams last week so after a few more weeks of try outs, hopefully we will have her on a team. Until then, we packed up all our Renegades gear & between the 4 of us, we have a lot:

Sophie is finishing up soccer also. Their last game was supposed to be last weekend, but they have another one this weekend due to a previous rain out:

Bryan has loved coaching the girls & most of them have been together since they were 3 years old, but Sophie has decided to focus on cheer & volleyball next year to get her ready for middle school, so I believe this is our last season of FSA recreational soccer, which is definitely sad for our family. We've had a great time with these girls:

Sadie has been reffing as much as possible & loving all of the money she is making:

I am wrapping up my final days at Pink Elementary after 8 years and shocked when I found out a few weeks ago that I won PTA lifetime member/volunteer of the year at Pink. It was such a surprise, but I am extremely grateful for the honor:

Finally, after years of prayer & discussion, our church officially kicked off their "Rooted to Grow" campaign to build a new worship center at our church. We actually started this process a few years ago but then the pandemic hit & things got put on the back burner. Easter Sunday was our last official day in the old building & then the week after, we celebrated with an outdoor service while we had the groundbreaking ceremony. They had breakfast set up for fellowship & Sophie was so excited to serve with her friends:

Bryan has been on the future committee for years & has helped this whole idea come to fruition so he got to be a part of the ceremony:

We are really excited for the future of Frisco First!
