This past weekend, Sophie got to sneak away with a few of her friends to Girl Scout camp:
They have been talking about it for months so the girls were so excited! Not every girl in their troop got to go, but most of them. Of course our first really big cold front blew in the day they were leaving so we had to pack a few extra things to keep them warm:
The camp was about an hour away & the main reason we picked this camp was because it is a cabin camp! These girls are not ready for tent camping yet. Ha!
They got there Friday night & then were up ready to go early Saturday morning:
It sounds like they ate pretty well & they had a lot of activities. They did archery, fed Longhorns, rode horses, played putt putt golf & so much more:
Unfortunately, since their football team won last weekend, they missed the 2nd round of the playoffs this weekend, so they sent a picture of them stunting to their squad to let them know they were cheering from afar:
Apparently, the bathrooms were not the cleanest so they did not shower while they were there and when they woke up on Sunday morning, they had a power outage. Oh man! But these girls were troopers & got home around lunchtime on Sunday. It was a quick weekend getaway but these girls had a blast. Thank you Kimberlee for being their fearless leader & taking the girls!
