I post about Sadie & soccer a lot, because let's be honest, she plays a lot of soccer. Like 5 days a week. But this time of year, Sophie is just as busy doing her thing & right now, her thing is cheerleading! The fall is her busiest time of year with football season. We start a month before the season starts prepping & working on their half time routine. We even have a pep rally with the boys to kick off the season:
We have themed practices where the girls wear different cheer practice uniforms or shirts:
They even had a few themed days at school where they wear their practice uniform or game uniform with all of their friends:
Every week we spend the 3rd quarter with the cheerleaders from the other team playing games & switching treats:
This past weekend we played the Cowboys & one of Sophie's besties cheers for their squad & thankfully her mom is our resident photographer! She came over & took pictures of our half time performance & they turned out great! We are so fortunate she always goes out of her way to take pictures of all of our girls & not just hers:
I love this picture of Sophie because you can see her tumbling in the background. She has been working really hard on her tumbling & has been going to classes every week in addition to cheer. She can do a front walkover, a back walkover, cartwheels, roundoffs & she is working on her back handspring. She has it on the floor with a spot but we are hoping she can do one by herself before the season is over:

They have another month of regular games & then they move into the playoffs in November but we have something special we are working on for Halloween. You'll have to check back in a month or so to see that!
