Last Day of School 2021

I know it sounds crazy, but last Friday was the last day of school so our girls are officially out for summer! The celebrations began early last week & first up was the 1st grade celebration of learning. Normally parents are invited for the awards ceremony but this year we got to watch it on zoom. Ha! That pretty sums up our year! Sophie's class voted her the ray of sunshine award & that didn't surprise me at all:

A few days later, 3rd grade had their celebration & her teachers sent me a few extra pictures. She won most caring in her class, but she also won the top PE award:

Then on Friday, the girls woke up ready to celebrate their final day:

They dressed casually with a change of clothes packed in their backpacks because they were having end of the year parties at school. Thankfully they had them outside so parents could actually come, which was a big deal because we haven't been able to go to anything all year. Sadie's grade was first & it was cloudy early in the morning, but that didn't stop them from having fun:

They had a snow cone truck, a dj, foam noodles & water guns. Need I say more?!

I am so glad I got to celebrate with her:

After lunch I went back to the school to celebrate with Sophie's grade:

They had the same set up except the sun had actually came out & it had warmed up:

She had more fun because her friends never got to do this last year since they never got to finish kindergarten in person:

After school, we walked home but we had to say goodbye to one last person, Mrs. Nancy! She is the best crossing guard & she literally brightens our day every morning & every afternoon while she keeps our corner safe:

Cheer to summer!
