Easter 2021

Our Easter festivities kicked off on Wednesday night. Instead of having their traditional soccer practice, Coach T let the girls have an Easter practice instead. First up, they had an Easter egg hunt:

Next up, they picked partners & had a sidewalk chalk contest. Any guesses who Sadie paired up with?!

Then they had an egg race & an egg toss:

I am so thankful she has fun practices like this! She really does a good job of balancing fun & hard work with soccer so they don't get burned out:

On Thursday night, we got invited to a glow in the dark egg hunt:

Can you see them shining in their baskets:

Thanks Applegates for having us over!

On Sunday morning, the girls were uber excited when they woke up & realized that the Easter Bunny came:

He also left a trail of empty eggs leading from the fireplace to the backdoor:

Thankfully it was beautiful weather so the girls found all of their eggs hidden in the back yard. I didn't even attempt to take pictures of them hunting because they are too fast for that these days!

We went to Easter service at church & I can't tell you how excited we were to go after staying at home just the 4 of us last year! They had a photo prop set up for pictures so of course we had to take family pictures:

And during church I couldn't help but snap a picture of Sophie's hand - the girls got fake nails in their basket & they were so proud to wear them to church:

Too bad they had all fallen off by the time we had left church! Ha! That evening we got together with Bryan's family for dinner & we had the best time seeing everyone again. Last year we had a zoom call with all of them for Easter. What a difference a year makes!
