Maui, Days 9-11

I know I have been posting for the past week about our spring break trip, but I can't help it. We were gone for 11 days & I took a lot of pictures - what can I say, I just love taking pictures! We had a few days off property, but most of the time we just enjoyed hanging around the resort, which is what we did our last few days. We soaked up all of the sun & fun while we could:

We even rented snorkel gear so Bryan & Sadie could check out the wildlife:

When we got ready for dinner that night, the girls & I decided to wear our lei headbands:

By the way, did I mention how diva these girls were on our trip? Every single night they were fighting over who got to blow dry their hair first:

At home they just let their hair air dry but here they were all about the pampering! We went to dinner at Humble Market Kitchen & got there just in time for sunset:

Let's be honest, I love how we take our mask off for all of our pictures, but this is what we really look like walking around:

And yes, it was chilly at night so the girls & I wore our denim jackets every single night!

Another fun fact about our nightly dinners - we played farkel every single night at the restaurant:

It's small, easy to travel with & kept us entertained every night. We even kept a running score throughout the week & we didn't tally up the final results until we got home:

Saturday was our last full day there & the only pictures I have to document our time outside was Sadie & I taking silly selfies in the cabana:

I had finished my reading for the trip half way through but Bryan & Sadie were trying to finish their books before we left:

Not a bad place to enjoy a book!

That night we went to dinner at Manoli's, which is a local pizza joint. They had a great outdoor restaurant/patio that was overlooking the golf course & we enjoyed another great sunset:

This restaurant was casual but the food was great! We loved the pizza, the drinks & the dessert:

The next day, Sunday, was our final day of vacation. Bryan woke up early & got in 9 rounds of golf at sunrise:

I knew it was going to be a beautiful day because while I was working out, I saw a rainbow. our first & only rainbow of the week:

Apparently Bryan could see the rainbow from the golf course also:

The girls woke up just in time to see it. We enjoyed our last breakfast without Bryan & I was not complaining about the view. This is probably what I miss the most about being home every day - waking up early, working out & then enjoying this view while eating gourmet breakfasts every single day:

The girls & I raced to get ready for the day because it was so nice out there & then as soon as we got set up at our chairs, it started raining:

Luckily it was just a quick, 5 minute rain & then it moved on so I could enjoy the view again while the girls swam:

When Bryan joined us, we went back to the beach:

Bryan & Sadie had planned on snorkeling again but there was a red flag out & the waves were crashing hard, the strongest they had been all week & the girls were loving it:

It was probably the best day we had while we were there & we soaked up the sun all afternoon & celebrated the end of our trip with our last round of ice cream, snow cones & drinks:

We cleaned up late that afternoon, checked out of our hotel & headed to one of the restaurants downstairs to enjoy our final sunset & dinner before we headed to the airport:

By the time we left the resort, it was dark & we headed to the airport to catch the red eye direct flight back to DFW:

We left at 9:30 that night & thankfully the girls knew what to expect since we did this last year & they both passed out. Thankfully the plane wasn't that full so we were able to spread out & the girls flat out laid down & slept most of the flight home:

So that's it - spring break 2021! It was definitely different with all of the travel restrictions but totally worth it. After the past year we have had, it was nice to get away & disconnect. We have loved living the aloha life in Oahu & Maui so if any of you go to visit, let me know!
