Valentine's came & went this year, kind of quietly to be honest. First off, I love decorating for all of the holidays, including Valentine's, but I didn't this year since I don't have a kitchen or a living room. The girls both had parties at school but parents were not allowed to attend & the kids could not trade Valentines. Sophie's class had cookies, made a craft & played games:
Since they couldn't trade Valentine treats at school, they made digital Valentines that they shared with the class. They were so precious!
Sadie's class also had fun & thankfully I found a picture of her class celebrating as well:
Susanne & Kimberlee did an awesome job decorating & planning for the girls. I'm so glad Sophie found this troop to be a part of:
And that was just the beginning of the cold weather. It got colder everyday as we prepared for a winter storm that actually hit on Valentine's morning. We woke up to a fresh blanket of beautiful snow:
Church was cancelled & we didn't even leave the house so we had a perfect little family day at home - cuddling up by the fire, watching movies & eating lots of good food:
I am excited to try some of these since we don't have a kitchen! Right now I am mostly using my crock pot, our microwave & on warm days, our outside grill. This way we can at least prepare eggs in the morning!
So that's Valentine's circa 2021 - one we will always remember during the Covid pandemic & winter storm while our house is being remodeled.
