Skiing in Breckenridge

Of course we can't go to the snow without skiing, right?! That was the main part of our trip, even though we didn't all participate. We bought our epic passes back in September & then we had to make reservations a month before we went. All of the adults skied except for my mom & I. I have gone a few times & it's just not my thing, especially for the price. I am just as happy staying behind & sitting by the fire, reading a book, or walking through town. Although this trip I stayed behind with my Mom & Max so at least I wasn't by myself. We signed all 3 girls up for ski school the first 2 days:

We signed them up for a half day in the afternoon so I dropped them off & then tried to stop back in a couple of times to see how they were doing. Sadie & Zoe rocked the children's area & were able to progress up the mountain:

Sophie on the other hand is always a little more timid & it took her a while to get promoted up the mountain, but at least she had fun:

I wish I would taken pictures on another day, but I took most of them the first day & that's when it was the coldest. We had a big snowfall & cold front blow threw on Monday night when we all drove in & it was actually -6 degrees when we woke up on Tuesday morning! Not just a negative windchill, but an actual negative temperature on the thermometer! So it stayed cloudy & cold all day on Tuesday & you can see that in the pictures:

While the 3 girls were at school, the rest of them went skiing on their own:

As I mentioned in my prior post, masks were required at all times, especially in lines to get on the chair lift. The bottom lift had the longest wait because they wouldn't let you ride together unless you were in the same family so I got a picture of everyone waiting in line ready to go:

The rest of the week was warmer & sunnier:

Bryan would pick up Sadie every afternoon after she got out of school & he would take her up to ski some more. We had planned on the 2 of them skiing together all day Friday & Saturday but Sadie loved ski school so much she asked to go back. So she did school all day on Friday & then they skied all day Saturday together:

Sadie loved skiing! She is already a natural athlete & she is a daredevil so I think that helps. She had only skied one time before this when she was in kindergarten but she picked it up really easily again. Sophie on the other hand, does not enjoy it as much as she does, so I'm glad these two have found something they like to do together:
