Summer 2020 - That's a Wrap!

It may be a high of 105 today, but summer is officially over for us! The girls started back to school yesterday & we are already in a fall state of mind. I will post all things back to school next week because I have one more photo dump before we move on to that.

We spent a lot of time outside this summer & I didn't document most of it. The girls had weekly tennis lessons & Sadie still practiced soccer 2-3 times a week. And we swam. A lot. More than we ever have! We always create a big list at the beginning of summer & we try to always have someone new - friends from school, church, soccer, neighbors, etc. This year we spent more time outside more than normal due to covid so we had lots of trampoline time, lots of picnic lunches by the pool & of course lots of popsicles:

Last week, Sadie went to soccer camp & while she was there, Sophie went to Mimi & Doc's house:

It sounds like they went swimming, played pickle ball & got spoiled!

I've been going to the gym about once or twice a week early in the morning so this week was fun because I got to do a few extra classes mid morning while I was child-less:

We still wear masks & as you can see, we still are socially distanced, even in the classroom.

I surprised the girls & planned an outing with friends last Friday as a fun end of the summer get together. You can rent one of our theaters for $99 & you get the entire theater for up to 20 friends. Masks are required, unless you take them off to eat, but other than that, the theater was mostly empty. Everyone paid $5 & we had so much fun getting to do something normal again:

We let the kids sit together but the moms spread out. We literally had so much fun doing this, I think we may plan it again!

Finally, Sophie & I got invited to something a few night's before school started so Bryan & Sadie had a date night. Apparently she wanted to get a mani & pedi before school started:

And that's it! It was a fun summer & we definitely used our pool more than we ever have. We entertained a lot, saw family a few times & the girls still got to go to Sky Ranch. We didn't go on a big vacation like we normally do & we had a whole bucket list full of items that we didn't get to do, but we are all healthy and for that I am grateful. We are ready for fall!
