Life Lately

It's been a few weeks since I posted a photo dump but of course I am still taking pictures of our quarantined life these days so I always have something to share!

First up, back in mid April, Bryan & I celebrated 16 years of marriage. Can you believe it?! 16 years?! He grilled steak, I made risotto & I even set the table with our china - it was a fancy, candle lit dinner at home that was crashed by 2 little girls!

Ha Ha! We actually enjoyed a nice evening at home & the girls think it's fun to use our fancy dishes. We even looked at pictures from our wedding & danced to a few songs. It really ended up being a fun evening celebrating with them.

Sadie is still going strong with soccer but Sophie was not into dance. She loved going to dance class with her friends but she had no interest watching her dance videos or participating in the dance live zoom classes, so we officially dropped dance as of May 1. Kind of made me sad but it became clear that she didn't want to do it & their recital is in 1 month so I doubt they will have that anyway. But, they did have a free cheer class & she loved getting to do that again:

We are still spending a lot of time outside:

Our new adventure is hiking. We enjoyed it on vacation & now that the girls are older & we have more free time, we are finding new places to hike around town:

Of course then it gets hot so they end up in the pool:

Of course we try to see friends as much as possible, mostly outside. One of my friends threw herself a birthday brunch in her driveway one morning & we had so much fun spending a day with the girls just visiting without our husbands & children:

Someone had a snow cone truck stop by our neighborhood one afternoon & that was the highlight of our week having a treat & getting to see friends:

We even saw Chewbacca there!

Finally it is teacher appreciation week so the girls have made videos, flip grids, thank you cards, posters & we have even sent presents. It's been fun taking the time to thank others so I'll end today's post with our heart pictures from the girls:
