Family Heritage Night

I was catching up on pictures & found a few from before we started sheltering at home. I can't believe this was almost a month ago, but before we flew out for spring break, our school had Family Heritage Night, which is an annual event. This year, the second grade performed & Sadie was asked to introduce & welcome everyone to the event:

The class sang as a whole so she was really excited when the music teacher called & asked if she would be willing to speak. She had an entire speech that she memorized for the big day:

And she did great! She remembered everything, spoke slowly & ended with excitement! Then she stepped back with her class & sang her little heart out:

After that, the kids got their passports & we got to go all over the gym visiting all of the countries that are represented at our school. Along the way, the kids had fun running around with their friends:

It really was a fun night & I am so glad our school sponsors this event every year!
