Last weekend was a long holiday weekend with President's Day. We had Friday & Monday off from school & a while ago we toyed around with going on a quick ski trip, but I am so glad we ended up not going. My sister ended up driving up with the kids & we had beautiful weather, so it couldn't have been a more perfect weekend! They got here just in time for Valentine dinner Friday night & the kids were pumped to watch the premiere of Zombies 2 on the Disney Channel!
The rest of the weekend was spent outside. We played a lot of basketball:
Even Natalie & I got in on the action! We played Knock Out & Around the World. They spent a lot of time on the trampoline, even Max:
They rode bikes, scooters & we even went for a walk/ride on the trails. But the highlight of their weekend might have been swimming in the hot tub:
Bryan kept the water heated for most of the weekend.
That night, the girls surprised their cousins & we played Pie in the Face:
Lucky Zoe never got hit but Sadie & Kason got smashed quite a bit!
I also have to throw a huge shout out to my sister because I called her after Christmas & told her that all I wanted for my birthday was for her to help me clean my closet & boy did we do that:
I have clothes that I haven't worn in years but I just couldn't get rid of them but my sister had no problem telling me which ones to get rid of! I probably got rid of 15 pairs of dress slacks, 5 suits, a bunch of button down blouses, jeans & a lot of shoes. Ugh. It was not fun but my closet is so much more clean & organized & I cannot thank her enough!
We had an awesome weekend just being lazy, visiting & hanging out until they had to leave on Sunday. After they left, we took advantage of the weather & went for a family bike ride on the trails where we ran into friends. After we finished our bike ride & played at the park, we ended up having our friends over to swim:
Which then ended up turning into a late over. Kenzie & KJ had not seen Zombies yet so they went home, showered & came back over for a movie night:
Sophie invited a friend over also so Sutton joined us:
I love that they are old enough to roll with the flow, have impromptu parties & stay up late! Such a fun, long weekend off from school!
