Next up, the annual Fall Festival at our church. This is one of our favorite activities to do every fall & this year they added a new element - a trunk or treat also! This is the main reason Sadie didn't want to dress up, not only was it hot, but she wanted to be comfy for everything she planned on doing here:
We hit up the trunks first because they were ready for some candy:
I am always so impressed with everyone's creativity! This fall trunk was cute because it had a photo prop:
But my personal favorite were some of the high school kids. They had a Christmas theme, they were playing Christmas games, Christmas music & they were even wearing Christmas pajamas. So fun!
We saw lots of friends along the way but of course I hardly got pictures of them because the girls were too busy running around to stop & have their picture taken:
Apparently we were bad parents because one the games inside was giving away goldfish & we wouldn't let Sadie have one. She was not happy:
Eventually she cheered up when we got their wristband & headed outside to try out all of the other activities:
They both loved the zip line, even Sophie! I doubt she would have done this last year, but she is getting braver as she gets older:
Another first for her? Rock climbing! Sadie loves doing this stuff but I really think this was Sophie's first time:
We ended the night at our class car. I had volunteered to run the game & pass out candy but thankfully I had 2 little helpers:
It was the perfect evening & thankfully we were able to wrap it up & get everything taken down & cleaned up before the storms rolled in later that night. Praise God we only got high wind & rain while the tornados hit other parts of Dallas. I was all comfy watching tv at home & snacking on candy while it stormed:
Don't tell the girls we raided their candy buckets while they were sleeping!
