Last week the girls & I had a fun adventure - VBS! This was our 6th year to do it together & every year gets more fun, especially since they are older. This year's theme was:

I have worked in the pre-school department since they were born but this year I finally moved over to the big kid side since Sophie finally did. I volunteered to help with snacks this year & I loved it! I will definitely be signing up for this gig again next year. I loved working with this great group of ladies:

You should have seen how many boxes of gold fish, animal crackers & Cheetos we had:
Did you see the gummy frogs on top of the jello? They were a huge hit with the kids!
The girls had fun seeing friends every day. Sophie was ecstatic to see Chloe again - she is a youth volunteer that has helped in her class for the past couple of years:
I never went to rally because I was too busy prepping snacks but apparently both of the girls got called up on stage a few times & some of my friends were able to share pictures of them:
They had fun themes every day. Day 2 was crazy sock day:
Day 3 was animal day so we all wore animal print shorts:
Day 4 was our favorite - crazy hair day!
The girls got colored hair spray in their Christmas stocking & have been literally waiting for this day to use it. Sophie had her dance rehearsal that morning so unfortunately we couldn't color her hair but we curled her hair for the rehearsal so we thought her curlers were crazy enough. Sadie on the other hand couldn't wait to go crazy coloring hers! It's always fun seeing everyone's crafty ideas:
It was a long week but we loved every minute of it! We broke records this year with attendance & last I heard, we had 1,100 kids & volunteers on campus. Just another reason why we love our church & the community we have found there.
