After a week at camp, we finally picked up Sadie yesterday! We hadn't heard from her all week but the camp is awesome about posting pictures every day. They posted pictures every day around dinner time so we were stalking our phones waiting to see them :) The good news is she was smiling in every single one so I took that as a good sign! The first night they sent a picture of her cabin at the opening ceremony:
Apparently their counselors were awesome & painted all of their faces. The rest of the pictures speak for themselves:
I'm telling you it was comforting seeing pictures of her in action with her friends having a great time every single day :) You know what else made my week?!
On Thursday I got a card in the mail from Sadie! I may have gotten a little teary eyed when I read it:

Finally Saturday morning came & it was time to leave early to go pick her up. They had a closing ceremony & then we finally got to get her. I don't know who was more excited - us or Sophie:
We got to meet Hayden, her BFF & bunkmate from camp:
Then one of her counselors presented her with the camper award Seeking Heart:
Apparently she was very engaged during their bible studies & asked a lot of questions, which makes this mama so happy!

On our way back to the car, we had time to explore camp so it was fun letting Sadie show us around. It is safe to say that she had an amazing time at camp. It was so amazing that we already signed her up & paid our deposit for next year! I have a feeling this will be a favorite item on their bucket list every summer :)
