Last Day of 1st Grade

Last Thursday was Sadie's last day of school:

She woke up early because she was so excited for her last day:

Since she woke up early & we had more time than usual, she wanted to ride her bike to school since it was nice weather outside:

They basically only had school in the morning & then after lunch they had their year end party. Luckily I got to help out so I got to watch her in action with her friends. First, they got snow cones:

Then it was time for some fun in the sun! They had 2 different inflatables with water slides:

We had perfect weather to spend the afternoon outside getting wet! 

Next up, the Bubble Bus:

I heard this was coming, but I didn't know exactly what it was. Sure enough, it is exactly what it sounds like. They set up an area behind the bus & had bubbles like crazy & the kids loved it!

I had never seen anything like it but it was pretty cool! 

Before we went back inside, we got one last picture with her teacher, Mrs. Watson:

After they went inside, they technically had 1 hour of school left, but Sadie was finally convinced to leave early! Most of her friends left last year & she wanted to stay. To be honest, I think she kind of wanted to stay this year also, but she finally gave in since most of her friends were leaving:

And that's it - 1st grade is a wrap! Sadie had an awesome year & I know she will miss school over the summer but we are ready for the lazy days of summer!
