This Mother's Day was a bit unusual because Sadie had a basketball game Sunday afternoon. Originally we had a busy Saturday planned as well but of course a cold front blew in with lots of rain so all of our activities got cancelled. To my surprise, Bryan made brunch reservations so we could celebrate on Saturday instead:
This place has been on my list so I was so excited to finally try it! I heard it was very girlie & they are known for their afternoon teas. As soon as we walked in, I loved the décor:
I mean check out the pastry bar. The girls were so excited to walk around & see all of the pastries. They had an awesome patio but unfortunately it was closed due to the weather so there was quite a crowd inside while we waited:
By the way, did you notice that the girls' brought their babies as well? They wanted to celebrate Mother's Day too :)
We enjoyed live music while we waited. They had a guy playing an accordion & Sophie loved him! She was literally dancing around & performing for everyone:
Our food was delicious. Bryan & I ordered breakfast - we both got an egg dish but then we decided to splurge on the banana nutella crepe & it was unbelievable:
Sophie was spoiled with chocolate milk and the cheesiest macaroni & cheese:
We ended our meal with hot tea & macaroons:
After brunch, we ran errands around town & I had fun picking up a Mother's Day surprise at Kendra Scott:
The girls had fun looking at stones at the color bar!
On Sunday morning the moms were spoiled at church. They had a few photo props for us to take pictures & they passed out flowers:
Afterwards, it was a normal Sunday afternoon. Sadie had a basketball game, I got my car washed & then I went to the grocery store. The only thing I didn't do was a load of laundry. I told myself it was ok to take 1 day off! To be honest, it was a pretty relaxing weekend, especially Saturday. As much as I am tired of all this crazy rain, I love the family time we get to spend together when our schedule slows down.
