I mostly blog about the girls or our vacations away, but today & tomorrow I am going to write about Bryan & I. Starting with me first. About 6 months ago, my friend suggested we buy tickets to see Justin Timberlake since he was making an encore tour stop in Dallas. Thank goodness we said yes & shelled out the money for good tickets because we finally went this week & we had the best night ever:
We left the kids with the husbands right after school & headed into the city for an early dinner. Afterwards we headed to American Airlines Center & danced the night away! We joked that it was a bunch of moms at the concert because we knew several other women who were there also. To our surprise there were a lot of couples also. I saw him once while Bryan & I were dating and honestly, he was just as good now as he was then. Not only does he sing, but he played the guitar, the keyboard, the turntable and he danced. My goodness can he dance! He literally performed for 2 hours straight without taking a break & of course I couldn't help but take pictures all night because I loved it all:
Our seats were right in the middle of the auditorium on the 5th row. Not on the floor, because those were standing room only. You can't really tell, but the picture above he was dancing with the microphone stand. His stage extended all the way from 1 side to the other. To our left, during one song, grass popped up out of nowhere:
There were trees all over the stage, in reference to his tour - Man of the Woods:
I loved when he sang "My Love". He started out at the beginning teasing us before finally starting the song:
I loved when he sang "Cry Me A River" because the whole stage filled with smoke & it looked like it was raining:
It was also cool when he sang "Mirrors":
He was in the middle of the stage & all of these screens came down. After they went up, he did an acoustic break & sang acapella with the crowd - I really loved this part!
He had a couple of outfit changes - mostly jackets:
And one time they even set up a camp scene with a real fire:
He ended the concert by singing "Can't Stop the Feeling" from the Trolls soundtrack & it was perfect. I don't usually take videos, but I made sure I videoed the entire song so I could show it to the girls since they love that movie & that song.
We had an awesome night & I am so thankful for these ladies!
