One of our favorite parts of the cruise is seeing all of the characters. Some of them you can set up reservations for before hand & everyone else you can see anytime on the ship. Since our first full day on the ship was at sea, we scheduled our princess gathering that morning. The girls bought autograph books as their souvenirs so they could have everyone sign:
They saw Cinderella, Ariel & Tiana:
Later that morning, they ran into Minnie Mouse:
I must admit, Sadie wasn't as in to the characters as I thought she would be. Every now & then she would see one & get excited, but for the most part, she was too cool:
Sophie on the other hand, loved seeing them! It we were just with her, we probably would have spent a lot more time visiting everyone:
Later in the trip when it was another day at sea, we booked the Frozen Gathering. The girls were so excited to see Anna & Elsa! I was hoping we would see Olaf also since he was there last time but apparently this time he was back in Arrendale:
Besides being too cool for characters, Sadie's not really into princess dresses anymore. As soon as she found out about the cruise she informed me that she was really excited but that she would not be wearing any princess dresses. But since my friend just went to Disney with her 2 girls, I remembered she had these 2 cotton dresses so I asked if I could borrow them. Thankfully I was able to talk Sadie into wearing one since her friends were also:
Afterwards, we ran into Belle & the girls were so excited since she wasn't at the Princess Gathering:
Our last night there, we went to the farewell party & got to say goodbye to everyone one last time, including Mickey:
I think 4-5 is the magical age. That's when Sadie was really into the characters & believed in the magic of everything so Sophie soaked up every minute. Sadie just turned 7 & is in 1st grade, so she is growing up faster than I would like. But to be honest, this was their 7th Disney experience (World, Land & Cruise) so I get it. I've had all of my magical moments with her. She still has fun, it's just a different type of fun these days :)
