Last weekend was a busy weekend, even though we were out of town. Who knew so many friends were born in December?! The girls got invited to 6 birthday parties last weekend alone! They didn't make all of them, but they made most. I figured they might as well go have fun with their friends while we were gone :) Thankfully my in laws & friends sent pictures:
And Sophie's teacher sent several pictures from school while we were gone:
Sherry took Sophie to gymnastics & afterwards they went to lunch at Chick Fil A. Apparently the radio station was there & she got to sing on the air:
Friday night, they went to a Christmas party with their grandparents & it looks like they had fun:
And since I've been back this week, we have been all about Christmas! One of our favorite places, Bahama Bucks closed after Labor Day weekend & we were so disappointed, but new owners took it over & they gave away free sno cones all day for their grand opening:
Can you tell they were just a little excited?! I took them after school to surprise them & we all got Santa flavor:
Sadie made this beautiful Christmas tree made out of her handprints when she was 3 & I was kind of disappointed we never got one from Sophie. Until this year! She had been telling us she made us a Christmas gift & when she brought it home this week we couldn't help but open it right away:
I had Sadie's framed & I love putting it out every year so looks like I will have to do the same for Sophie. Look how much bigger Sophie's hand prints are?!
Finally, one of my favorite boutiques in town has a mailbox for the North Pole. They provide letters to Santa & if you write to him & mail it at their store, you will receive a letter back from Santa with a surprise:
They worked so hard on their letters & they are precious! I took pictures but they contain personal information so I thought it would be best not to share:
They were so excited to mail them this week & I can't wait to see what they get back!
