Every year we try do something new for the holidays & this year, I planned it on the girls' birthday weekend. We went to Globe Life Park in Arlington, which is where the Texas Rangers play baseball to visit:
It is supposed to be the world's largest Christmas light maze & it did not disappoint! As soon as we got there, we went straight to see Santa since we haven't seen him yet this holiday season:
They love Santa, but they were even more excited when they got to meet Mrs. Clause:
We met up with Bryan's parents & had dinner before we headed down to the field:
The park was divided into different sections with Christmas trees, presents, ornaments & more:
The theme was Eddie, the mischievous elf. He apparently stole 8 of Santa's gifts & hid them in the maze for us to find:
They gave us scratch cards to walk around with & every time we found a toy, they had large gold coins for us to scratch off the found toy:
The girls had fun running around trying to find everything:
Of course we took pictures around every corner but some of my favorites were the light tunnel:
and this really awesome place where all of the lights hung down for you to walk through:
We saw a heart where couples were taking pictures & kissing underneath, so of course the girls wanted us to do it:
In a couple of spots it snowed & Sadie loved that:
And so many great photo opportunities:
There was also an ice skating rink & Sadie wanted to go sooooo bad. Unfortunately the line was really long & since she was the only one who wanted to go, we promised her we would take her over winter break later. Let's just say she was not happy about that:
The rest of us were cold & were ready for some hot cocoa to warm us up:
We might have had a few cookies too:
It was a late night & of course the girls passed out on the drive home:
Guess that's always a sign of a good time, right?!
