Little Miss Cheer 2018

Every year, our high school has a fundraiser for the cheerleading booster club by hosting a cheerleading clinic. The past couple of years Sadie has gone but this is the first year, Sophie was old enough. When we originally registered, I signed Sophie up for the morning session & Sadie for the afternoon session because they had soccer games. But you know how this season has gone, all soccer was cancelled due to the rain so luckily the girls still got to go to cheer, but they had to go at different times. First up, Sophie. She saw friends as soon as we walked in & was so excited:

She wanted to wear her cheerleading uniform of course! And as soon as the cheerleaders led them to the gym, she was in her element! We got to come at the end to watch them perform & she wasn't shy at all. One of the cheerleaders carried her out, she smiled the entire time & they even put her up in the air:

I absolutely loved watching her! And I still have a feeling this girl will be some sort of performer whether it be cheerleading, dance, etc.

Next up, Sadie's turn. She met a lot of friends from school up there also:

They stayed for the afternoon & then we got to watch them perform also:

She is the exact opposite of Sophie! She loves going but once she gets there, she gets nervous & shy. She forgets to smile & I can't even tell if she is having fun. I know she is because she talks about it afterwards but she is definitely not the natural performer like Sophie is. As soon as it was over, she was all smiles with her friends again:

She even saw her teacher there!

It was such a fun day, especially since soccer games were cancelled. And tomorrow night they get to cheer at the football game! Wakeland Wolverines!
