Big Orange Pumpkin Farm 2018

With all the rain lately, our fall activities have been hard to sneak in. Not only was the state fair hurting from low attendance, but the poor pumpkin farms have been hurting also. I have taken the girls to the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm since they were born so I was determined to make it out there at some point. Since the sun finally came out last weekend, we decided to meet our friends there on Monday morning:

Sophie had swimming lessons earlier that morning so her hair was in wet buns & it was a muddy mess out there so she wore rain boots. That was the smartest decision we made that day!

As soon as we got there, we headed straight to the animals to help feed them:

It was really crowded out there & there were lots of field trips so unfortunately, the animals weren't that hungry. She was afraid of the cow so she made me feed him:

It may have been muddy, but they still had fun running around, playing & taking pictures everywhere:

We attempted the hay maze but it was a disaster. Literally it was a muddy mess & the girls got lost inside there!

We stopped to have lunch:

Afterwards, it had finally cleared out since most of the school buses headed out so we went straight to the hay ride:

Last stop, the pumpkin patch! We always wait to pick our pumpkins at the end so we don't have to carry them around the whole time:

I cannot believe that was my last trip to the pumpkin patch with little ones :( If we get to go next year, it will probably be with the school on a field trip. It definitely wasn't the perfect little fall outing I had hoped for, but we still enjoyed the day with our friends.
