Ok, I am finally finished blogging about summer so I can finally move forward with back to school!On Monday afternoon, we finally got an email from Sadie's teacher. It was a wild afternoon checking with all of our friends to see who got who. Tuesday was Meet the Teacher so I scheduled Sadie a hair appointment that afternoon so she could get her hair trimmed before school started & then I asked if she would straighten it:
She loved it! And she was so excited to go back to school to show all of her friends :) Lena scheduled Kenzie an appointment also so they had fun visiting with each other while they got all dolled up for school:
Then we headed to the school. It was kind of chaotic having the entire school full of students & their parents trying to find their new classrooms but it was fun chaos getting to see everyone again. Pod 1 is for the kindergarteners & 1st grade so Sadie knew exactly where to go. There are 4 classes in her grade this year, 2 returning teachers & 2 new teachers. Her teacher has actually been at Pink for 14 years & Sadie talked about her all summer so I am so glad that she actually got her:
Introducing Mrs. Watson! They almost look like they are related with their straight blonde hair & glasses :) You can tell she has been teaching for a while because her room is awesome - she has so much stuff & it is decorated so cute. You should see her reading area!
Last year they sat at tables & this year she actually has a little desk. She was so excited to pick her own seat & unpack her school supplies:
She didn't really get any of the friends she was hoping for but it's a small school & at least she gets to see everyone at lunch, recess, special classes, etc. You know we couldn't go the night without meeting up with Kenzie though:
So excited for these 2 to start school together again!
