Friday night was a girl's night because Bryan was out of town. Nothing fancy but after soccer practice I took the girls out to eat & then we got ice cream before going to bed early. We were keeping our fingers crossed the rain would hold off so the girls could get their soccer games in. Sophie had pictures first thing Saturday morning & luckily they were able to take them after being scheduled for the 3rd time:
Look at those cute little Twinkle Toes! And to our surprise, the rain held off for their game. After we had a quick break so we went to brunch & of course it started raining. Hard. So we went back to the fields & Sadie's game was cancelled. Again. She also had a game re-scheduled for Sunday & that was cancelled also. Seriously this has been the weirdest spring. Their season is supposed to be over this week & they haven't even played half of their games :(
Saturday night Bryan & I got invited to a special event & we had a great time! They sent a car to come pick us up, took us to dinner, surprised us with gifts & then drove us home:
Such a fun & surprising evening!
Sadie didn't have school on Monday so she invited a friend over for her first "late-over". Hadley came over around 6:00 & after they played for a while, she had dinner with us:
Then we had ice cream sundaes:
Then we ended the night with a movie in the media room:
She stayed over until 10:00 & they were all bouncing off the walls by the time we took her home. The girls thought they were so cool getting to stay up that late! Thank goodness they got to sleep in the next day. Sophie actually slept until 9:45! She woke up just in time to meet friends at the movies:
The girls & I love going to the movies so it always seems to be the first thing on our list whenever we have a day off from school :) But it's always more fun when you go with friends:
It was a fun, long weekend. Fingers crossed again we can actually enjoy a nice weekend. We have officially had cold, rainy weather 3 or 4 weekends in a row & we are over it!
