Weekend Wrap Up

Friday morning Sophie had a Valentine tea party & it was adorable. Of course I took way too many pictures, because that's what I do, so there will be a separate post about that. But the night before, the girls put on their Valentine's apron & helped me do some baking for the party:

Sadie was a little jealous that Sophie was having a party so after school I invited some of our neighbors over for snacks since we had left overs from the party:

She was so excited we had treats left over for us to share. After basketball practice that afternoon, the girls stayed with a babysitter while Bryan & I went to the Frisco's Chamber of Commerce Awards:

We get invited to a lot of stuff but this is one of my very favorite galas to go to. We go every February & it is definitely a who's who of Frisco so we get to see lots of friends & enjoy a night out without kids:

This night is a celebration of the best citizens, volunteers & businesses around Frisco & my friend Jessica won:

Her & her husband opened a wine bar in downtown Frisco & we love going there!

Sadie also had her last basketball game of the winter season:

They won 20-11! They definitely ended the season way better than they started, but I guess that is predictable for a group of kindergarteners who have never played before. I was so impressed with their little team & I am excited they have decided to stay together & give it another shot this summer. For now, we have decided to play winter/summer basketball since most of the girls play fall/spring soccer.

So I try not to brag too much on my blog, but I just have to this time. Sadie is pretty athletic & usually does pretty well on her team, but yesterday she was on fire! She has scored most games but usually it is a basket or two. Yesterday she scored 15 points! 3 of those being free throws! I guess getting a basketball goal helped :) She definitely has a love for the sport & Bryan really enjoyed coaching them as well:

Both girls have soccer practice this week & then games start next week. I think we are ready for soccer if the weather will cooperate. I have a feeling it will be a long, cold season.
