Now that the girls are older, we finally celebrated our first New Year's Eve with them. Our friends, The Tse's had a family friendly New Year's Eve party at their house & we had a great time! Julianne still had some of her Christmas decorations out but she changed them to New Year's:
She had the tree decorated with New Year necklaces, firecrackers, bow ties, etc. She also had bags on the tree labeled for every 30 minutes with a game inside. The kids loved this!
There were lots of great snacks we munched on all night but the kids specifically liked the popcorn bar:
At 11:00, Julianne had a surprise for the kids with a balloon drop:
Of course that entertained the kids for a while & then we went downstairs & had a sparkling juice toast:
I knew Sadie wouldn't like it, but she pretended to toast she just didn't drink. She says anything carbonated is spicy :) Sophie on the other hand, loved it:
I mean seriously, we have to watch this girl. She will drink anything!
Last surprise of the night, she had pop it firecrackers so we bundled up & went outside to pop them:
Sadie & Bryan were loving it, most of the other kids, including Sophie, did not! She ran back inside & said it was too cold out there. To be fair, it was colder than normal - I think the high never got above the mid 20's on Wednesday.
We had such a great evening getting to celebrate with the girls & with friends:
Thank you Julianne for hosting & planning all of the fun activities for the kids. We had a great time ringing in the new year at your house & are ready for 2018!
