It's that time - our little Daisy is selling Girl Scout cookies:
Somehow I got signed up to be the Troop Cookie Manager so it was a little stressful back in November when I had to order cookies for our newly formed troop for a bunch of kindergarteners & their moms who didn't know what they were doing! Luckily, our troop decided to take the easy route & we made a low commitment for each of the girls. We figured they were young so this would be a good learning year & we can do more next year when they are ready.
Sales officially started on Friday but we didn't pick our inventory up until Saturday morning. I had a friend drive us in her big SUV & we were able to get 41 cases of cookies in her car. When we got home, another mom joined us & we got all of the cases unpacked & sorted:
I think our house looked like it's own little cookie warehouse:
I spent most of the day around the house so everyone could come pick up their order & then that night Sadie was ready to get to work! We wanted to reach out to family first so she put on her vest & we Face Timed everyone:
Bryan taped her while she gave her sales pitch, showed off her inventory, asked for sales & calculated their payment. We were so proud of her!
Since we didn't have much inventory & we have a big family, she sold most of her boxes that first night. The next day, we took her to a few houses to sale what we had left:
We mostly hit up a few neighbors & a few close family friends. To be honest, I kind of wish we would have ordered more, but it was a good start. I think we will definitely order more next year when both of us know what we are doing!
