Our weekend kicked off Friday morning for Veteran's Day when Sophie & I went up to Good Morning Pink to help them celebrate. They invited all of the family members & staff who were veterans to sit up front & Sadie was excited to see our neighbor Keith since she wrote him a thank you letter for Girl Scouts:
They also celebrated all of the winners who raised the most money for their annual fundraiser, The Warrior Dash. Apparently out of all of the classes at their school, Sadie's class won 3rd place:
In fact, her friend Hero was the top fundraiser out of the entire school & won an Ipad! Their class won all kind of goodies & they were so excited:
After their assembly, we met Sadie's class at the book fair:
This was her first official book fair & she was pretty excited. She actually earned a $5 gift certificate from raising funds for the Warrior Dash so she got a free book & I let both of the girls pick out a book. She chose 2 learning to read books - Beauty & The Beast and Shopkins. Of course. Not exactly the books I would have chosen but it was her money :)
Later that day, I got a picture from her teacher at recess. That is actually Hero in the red dress - I'm pretty sure her fundraising is what helped Mrs. Dunham's class win 3rd place!
That night, she got to see all of her friends again when her friend Thomas had his birthday party:
They even let Sophie come:
After the party, we went to the Wakeland vs. Frisco High School football game where we met up with Brynley & Haven:
I can't say they watched much of the football game, but they loved watching halftime!
That's us after halftime pretending to be the drill team :) To be honest, here is what really happens during the football game:
They took turns fixing each other's hair! Just love that these 4 have so much fun together. Can't wait for Lyla to turn older so she can join them:
The next morning we woke up early to attend the Frisco Community Parade. I will post about that tomorrow because as always, I took a lot of pictures :) After the parade, we headed to another birthday party:
It was a unicorn party & they had real ponies there at the beginning who looked like unicorns but unfortunately, we missed them. We were at the parade longer than expected but at least we still got to stop by & celebrate:
I feel like we can't go a single weekend without a birthday party on our schedule somewhere!
