I'd like to say that things have slowed down since Halloween is over, but in reality, they probably haven't. In fact, I can't believe we are almost half way through November already. So here we go - a look back at our life lately over the past week.
We'll start with last Friday. Sadie has been begging to ride her bike to school so we finally let her. She rode by herself while Bryan followed in his car really slowly behind her:
Later that day, Sophie & I stopped by to have lunch with her:
I have gone to lunch several times, but I usually go on days when Sophie is at school so they were both so excited to eat together.
Later that night, Bryan & I went out with friends while the girls stayed home with a babysitter but I couldn't help but spy on them when we got back. They were having a slumber party:
They absolutely love their sleeping bags! In fact, they have slept in them on the floor every single night this week.
Fast forward to Monday when I picked Sadie up from school. Can you believe that we have never met another Sadie & when she started kindergarten there was another girl named Sadie spelled the exact same way?! They even kind of look like each other:
I mean seriously, there are only 60 kindergarteners & 2 of them have the same name.
We walked home from school with Lena & Kenzie that day & I couldn't help but laugh because I looked back & noticed that Kenzie was putting on a dance recital for the girls:
Too cute.
The girls were even more excited when I drove them around that afternoon to distribute their birthday invitations:
It ended up being a long afternoon because they had to stop & talk at every house:
On Tuesday, Bryan signed up to be a Watch Dog Dad. He took Sadie to school & spent the morning up there helping out in the classroom & around the campus. Sadie absolutely loved having him there:
Later that night, I left the girls at home & met some of my girlfriends out for a mom's night out. We went & saw Bad Moms 2:
The next morning, Sadie was so proud to take her turkey to school:
She came home with Tom the Turkey & she was asked to disguise him so they wouldn't find him for the Thanksgiving table. I got out all of the craft supplies I could find & she was in heaven just crafting away. Let's just say there was a lot of gold glitter every where!
That morning, Sophie went to dance & it was sports week so she wore her UT cheerleading uniform:
And later that night, the girls went to GA's & Cubbies. Last week Sadie was finally able to recite her motto, pledge & bible verse so she earned her GA vest:
She had a girl scout meeting earlier this week & they talked about Veteran's Day & were asked to write a thank you letter to a veteran:
We decided to write it to one of our neighbors so she could deliver it to him.
And finally, we went to a ribbon cutting ceremony for Frisco Fastpacs last night:
The girls did pretty good considering it was a room full of adults & they had to be quiet. Sadie asked if Bryan could lift her up because she couldn't see who was speaking. Then we went outside for the ribbon cutting & to unveil the new truck for their new program "Meals on the Move":
I am really passionate about this group since I am one of their volunteers right now. I pick up my bags of food every Thursday morning & deliver to the same schools every week. So thankful to be a part of this organization & I am glad that the girls have had the opportunity to learn about it as well.
