Life Lately

I know, I know, lots of posts in the past week or so but we have been busy with the end of summer/beginning of school! I have a feeling things won't slow down but I won't take as many pictures once we settle into our new routine. For instance, on Tuesday Sadie asked me to take a picture of her because it was the 2nd day of kindergarten:

Several things to note about this picture. First, she posed herself. Ha! I think she is trying to show off her converse. She is obsessed with those shoes! Second, she is turning more & more into a tom boy. On Tuesday, she took her earrings off at school, put them in her backpack & will not put them back on. She has wanted to wear tennis shoes every single day & she absolutely will not wear jewelry or bows any more :( And she has decided she only wants to wear shorts now & not any skirts or dresses after we bought her a whole closet full. Oh boy. 

That same morning, Bryan took Sadie to school & as soon as they left, Sophie threw herself down on the staircase & started crying:

The first day was exciting because she went with us to walk her in & drop her off but the next day Bryan was just going to drop her off in car lane so we left Sophie here. Wrong decision apparently. I think she was understanding of Sadie going to school, but she didn't understand why she couldn't go with Bryan to drop her off. Poor girl!

She cheered up later that morning because she went to camp & all of her little boyfriends were there since their older siblings started kinder also:

On Thursday, Sophie was my little helper as we made our way to the semi-annual consignment sale that I have been participating in:

This year I had a few extra things from my mom & my sister so hopefully everything will sale! My friend Lena decided to try it for the first time so we spent the morning setting up & dropping everything off. I am always mesmerized by how many children's items are there:

And we ended our week with a play date at Addie & Lucy's house:

Our girls have really hit it off & I am thankful that Sadie has a new friend at school:

They may be in different classes, but I hear her name a lot when she talks about recess!
