Life Lately with Sophie

We have been home from vacation for 2 weeks & we picked right up where we left off. The day after we got home, the first thing on our list was to take Sophie bike shopping. We bought Sadie her first big girl bike at the beginning of summer when she was 3 so she could ride all summer. We hadn't bought Sophie one yet because she is definitely more timid than Sadie was & she didn't act interested. But before we went out of town, she had a play date at Hayden's house & she rode her bike & she kept talking about it so on vacation Bryan & I decided we should probably go ahead & get her one. So we made it a priority & went shopping right away. She knew exactly what she wanted & after looking at several stores, she found the perfect one:

She wanted a princess bike with a doll carrier so she could carry her babies around:

You can't really tell, but it is a pink & purple bike & it has pictures of all of the princesses on the side. It was perfect timing because Sadie has been at camp & Sophie has been home by herself. Plus kindergarten is around the corner so she will have a lot more free time to entertain herself. And when Sadie gets home, they can ride together:

Like I said, our first week back Sadie went to camp so Sophie & I got a glimpse of what life will be like without her. Luckily she had camp at My Gym one morning:

She helped me put away all of our seashells from our trip:

Hayden came over to swim one morning because her older siblings were at camp also:

We went to the $1 movie at Studio Movie Grill & invited her best friend Abby from school:

I kept her so busy that she finally crashed on our way to pick up Sadie from camp one afternoon:

She had her check up at the dentist & left with sparkly teeth:

She got a Wellie Wisher doll for Christmas but she hadn't played with it much & has hardly ever carried the butterfly backpack until the past 2 weeks:

Meet Starla. She pretty much stays in my car & goes everywhere we go now :) It's been a fun couple of weeks being back at home & enjoying summer again. As much as I love summer, I think Sophie & I are going to have a great time together when school starts back up in the fall.
