Yesterday was a big day. Yes, it was the national election & yes, Bryan & I did stay up late watching the news coverage. I made it until almost 1:30 but Bryan actually stayed up until 2:30 or so. I won't go into details of where we stand in last night's election, but I will say it was definitely a surprising & unexpected night!
It was also election day at Sonshine Academy. Sadie understands the election process because we have always talked about it with the girls & have even taken them to vote with us. Last week, Sadie was excited because she told us she made her voter registration card at school:
It has her self portrait, her signature but no party affiliations :) They were asked to wear patriotic colors & she happily obliged:
And when we got to school, they had flags every where & they had decorated. Apparently, they got to vote on which science experiment they wanted to see in chapel on Thursday & Sadie was proud to say that she voted for the balloon experiment! Parents are invited to chapel this week so guess I'll get to see who won.
