The Most Magical Place on Earth

Ok, so if you know our family, we love to travel & 3/4 of our family are girls. So did you really think we could go to Orlando without visiting Disney World & a castle full of princesses?!

Most of our trip to Orlando was relaxing & spent at our hotel, but we did sneak over to Magic Kingdom for one day. This was our 3rd trip since Sadie was born & since we just went 6 months ago, we feel like old pros. We've really got the park figured out on where to go, where to eat, how to pull fast passes, etc. After we stopped by the castle, we went straight to the carousel because that is still their favorite ride:

Sadie has actually grown a couple of inches in the past 6 months so she was able to ride every ride there except for Space Mountain! Since it was only the 4 of us, we literally rushed through the park with our fast passes & rode every single ride except for Space Mountain & Splash Mountain. Since we have been before, I was much better about not taking pictures on rides. I really tried to enjoy the moment with my family :) I did take one on It's A Small World:

These are the goodbye/farewell signs that you see when the ride is over. They say goodbye in several languages & as I was looking around, I noticed one said goodbye Sadie, Bryan & Shaye! I do not remember that from last time but it was pretty cool! Somehow they must have picked up our magic bands.

I also took a picture of the girls on Dumbo because they really like this one also:

We actually rode a couple of rides several times, this being one of them!

We also lucked out & got last minute reservations at Cinderella's Castle for lunch. Apparently someone cancelled so I grabbed them!

Lunch was at 2:30 so we had a snack to hold us over & it ended up being perfect. It got pretty hot & crowded so it was nice to take an extended break inside a cool building! Lunch was delicious & where else can we see 5 princesses at one time without standing in line?!

These pictures crack me up because you can tell Sophie was really thirsty & hungry! This was the perfect energy boost to help us make it the rest of the day without naps :)

Of course we were able to pull fast passes for a few of the other princesses also:

We weren't hungry for dinner that night, but we did stop at one of our favorite places for dessert: The Main Street Confectionary:

Going to Disney was definitely a surprise for the girls, but you know what trumped that? Going to Disney & seeing one of your best friends!

This is Hadley, our neighbor across the street. She is technically 2 years older than Sadie but Sadie just idolizes her :) They were actually there on vacation all week so I knew there was a chance we might see them but I didn't tell Sadie because I didn't want to get her hopes up. Thank goodness for cell phones & text messages! We let them spend the day by themselves since it was their family vacation, but we met up with them that night & the girls spent the last 2 hours together. Most people went to the front of the park for the electric parade & fireworks but since we have already done that, we rode rides with the Huff family. The girls loved the Barnstormer so much, they rode it about 5 times in a row:

Sadie looks like she is holding on in the front picture but she was actually crying because they would let Hadley ride by herself but I had to ride with Sadie because she wasn't old enough. In that second picture, it's hard to see but Hadley is behind us with her hands up.

We technically didn't realize that Sadie was tall enough for the bigger rides until later in the day & she really wanted to ride the Seven Dwarves Mine Train but the wait time was 150 minutes! But I found out that it doesn't matter what time the park closes, as long as you are in line, you are guaranteed a ride. So, the park closed at 11:00 & I got in line at 10:45 while the rest of them ran around. Luckily we were on by 11:15:

Bryan & I took the girls while Hadley's parents stayed outside with Sophie & Cooper:

As we were walking out of the park, the fireworks started going off directly above us & the girls did not like it:

I guess they were too loud!

Luckily we walked all the way out with the Huff's until it was time for them to catch their shuttle to their resort:

We rode the ferry from Magic Kingdom back to the transportation center so we could catch an Uber & the girls were so tired they fell asleep on the ferry:

No, Bryan & I did not really fall asleep but we felt like we could! We got to Disney at 9:00 that morning when the park opened & we didn't officially leave until midnight. Talk about a 15 hour day with 2 toddlers & no naps! They did awesome & I am not surprised at all that they finally crashed. And these are the girls who never sleep in public. They even slept in the car:

and they never even woke up when we got to the hotel:

It was such a fun family day & I am glad that we were able to surprise them with a summer treat. Thank goodness I ordered their shirts a little big from our last trip because they still fit this time & I already had matching bows :) And another advantage - Sophie is still free since she isn't 3! She got into the park for free & ate lunch at the castle for free. Even better!
