Last night we hosted our survivor dinner to go along with our Relay events this week. Centennial Medical Center graciously offered to host our dinner at their hospital & it was perfect! Cody & I created the invitation & the agenda & they did everything else! They provided the venue, the meal, tables, decorations, etc.
I was a little disappointed we didn't have as many people show up as we expected but it was still a nice evening. We have several people who come to the dinner that don't attend Relay & then we have a ton of people who sign for Relay that didn't come last night but we still had a good turnout:
Our mayor couldn't be there but he provided a video message & then our guest speaker was Bryan:
I am so proud of him for sharing his story! His has been an encouragement over the past several months as I have planned this year's event.
For our final surprise, we lined the exit to the hospital with lit luminaria bags for every survivor so they could see them as they left. Hopefully that encouraged them to come out on Friday night!
