So my birthday was back in March but I actually bought myself my own present a few weeks before that :) My neighbor got a retractable screen door for Christmas & I loved it so much that I splurged & got one for our house. I knew I would get birthday money but I ordered it early so I could have it installed & ready to use this spring. Thank goodness I did because it is awesome! I love keeping the door open so I can hear the waterfalls outside & feel the fresh air, but I don't want the bugs to get in. Mostly flies & mosquitos :( But my favorite part about it is that you can't even tell it is there. It was built into the door frame & painted to match. You can't really tell from the picture but here is a view from my kitchen:
My favorite view these days! This way the girls can play outside & I can hear them or Bryan can grill out & we can still talk while I am inside, it is perfect.
Since I don't have any fun pictures of my new door, I took pictures of the girls instead. They went to the grocery store with me & helped me pick out juice boxes, capri suns & popsicles to stock the outdoor fridge. We are really ready for summer around here!
