One of the things on our to do list this spring was the Dallas Zoo:
We've been before, but last time we went, Sophie was still in her infant car seat & stroller, so that was obviously a while ago! I was hoping to go in the spring before it got too hot this summer & it was perfect timing when our friends asked if we wanted to meet them there. It was more crowded than I hoped it would be (due to school field trips) but the weather was perfect & the girls had a blast. I didn't take a whole lot of pictures of animals because it was so crowded, but I got some good photos of the giraffes because they came right up to us:
For some reason, Sadie was really excited about seeing the alligators & crocodiles, while Alana wanted to see the snakes:
While we were looking at the snakes, we saw Abby, one of Sophie's friends from school:
To be honest, I did not recognize the girl or her mom, but they recognized us & as soon as Sophie saw Abby, she ran over & hugged her, so apparently she recognized her friend!
I tried to get a few group pictures but you know how that goes with 6 children:
We finally got them settled in one place when we got out their lunches for a picnic:
Alana & Gavin had to leave a little early because they had swimming lessons so we spent the rest of the afternoon with Kenzie & KJ. Lena even took them on a train ride & this might have been their favorite part of the day:
I don't know how we lucked out meeting some of Sadie's friends who have siblings the same age as Sophie. I don't know what's going to happen when they all go to different elementary schools after pre-school :(
